Three Ways MADabolic Studios Build a Strong Member Base

All

When Jupiter, Florida-based fitness professionals Zach Eggen and Josh Werner first learned about MADabolic, they immediately knew they couldn’t miss the opportunity to bring the growing concept to Florida. MADabolic Jupiter held its grand opening in May 2021, and the studio has seen a booming start under the leadership of Zach and Josh in the first few months of operation.

“I was highly intrigued by MADabolic when I learned about their deload week," shared Josh. "It's unique that MADabolic's members buy into an active recovery week, and I felt immediately compelled to learn about the underlying program and culture of the brand. Once we started diving deeper, we were drawn to the high-quality and comprehensive nature of the programming and the great opportunity for growth through the franchise system.”

From selling out of founding memberships before ever hosting a class in-studio, to a flourishing culture of members who rave about their gym, Josh and Zach, along with the rest of their team, are building something big in Jupiter. The co-owners shared their top tips for earning and retaining members in their studio:

1.Build Trust
“We’ve both been training and working in the Jupiter fitness industry since 2012. Over the years, we’ve built a lot of rapport with clients, and the trust we’ve built within the fitness scene here has been huge for MADabolic Jupiter,” shared Josh. “We trust the MADabolic system, and our network trusts us, leading to a community that bought into what we are building.”

“We only want coaches on the floor who believe in and buy into this system on a personal level. Everyone on our team, from owners to coaches, takes class here three-to-four days per week,” added Zach. “This helps our coaches build relationships and rapport with our clients, and when members get to workout next to their coaches, they truly see credibility in the MADabolic program and MADlifestyle.”

2.Invest in your Clients
“Prior to opening MADabolic Jupiter, we both spent so much time writing programs for group classes and athletes we worked with one-on-one. Because we trust MADabolic’s training protocol, we now show up and can give all of our focus and energy to our clients on the floor, from getting to know everyone by name to ensuring each client is moving optimally through each and every move during the workout,” shared Zach. “We are committed to knowing everyone who comes through the door, understanding why they’re here, and giving them the best possible 50 minutes on the training floor. We’ve worked really hard to scale this for all of our coaches, too, so they can show up and focus exclusively on the excellent coaching we hired them to deliver.”

“As studio owners, we are working hard to build and strengthen the ways we can grow our member base and reinforce the health of the business,” added Josh. “We aim to build strong rapport with clients from the minute they walk into the gym and deliver expert and personalized coaching on the training floor. Ideally, by the time they’re done with class, clients find joy in having the conversation about how to become a member here.”

3.Culture Drives Culture
“So many fitness concepts encourage unsustainable diet and exercise approaches. It’s refreshing to see and share MADabolic’s more balanced method, and we are building a culture centered around the MADlifesytle,” shared Zach. “We have been able to strengthen and reeducate our member base to help them see there’s no need to beat your body up, you don’t need a follow an extreme calorie-restrictive diet, and that strength training can be part of bettering your entire life. At the same time, MADabolic’s programming is so effective that members see incredible results and growth in performance. It’s a win-win.”

“We supplement this balanced MADlifestyle with things like getting to know our clients individually, celebrating their successes, and on keeping our client base engaged on social media,” added Josh. “We host a lot of local events, which helps our members get to know each other, and we’ve been able to build some really great partnerships with other business in the area. MADabolic uniquely delivers unparalleled results and also fits into any lifestyle, allowing you to be stronger in the sports you love or better able to keep up with your kids. You will work hard when you’re training, but the balance that MADabolic offers means your gym doesn’t have to be the sole purpose of your life. We want to deliver the same, sustainable culture here all the time, forever, and we love being able to provide this for each of our clients.”

Only a few months into operation, Josh and Zach have built a strong following at MADabolic Jupiter, centered on a balanced approach to sustainable, strength-driven training. Their team’s focus on top-notch client experience and the balanced MADlifesyle has helped Josh and Zach earn and retain clients, which is great for the business. It also helps members at feel connected, supported, and challenged as they train with MADabolic’s signature interval program, purposefully designed to torch body fat, increase strength, and promote lean muscle.
